Our school district, Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5, is ensuring all students are life-ready by providing diverse opportunities. We have become a destination district for families because the district provides some of the best educational choices in Illinois.

As our community collaborated on a plan to address our district’s infrastructure challenges, families made it clear they wanted to see additional improvements to district facilities that would create even more opportunities for students.

The referendum will provide more opportunities for students throughout the district, and that’s why we should vote yes!

The referendum will make significant upgrades to programming spaces including science labs and libraries with improved technology and furniture to provide better learning opportunities for students. It will also allow the district to enhance spaces for performing arts and music through updates to outdated choir and band rooms and repairs to the high school auditorium to improve safety and restore full function. In addition, the referendum will make some upgrades to athletic facilities used as classroom spaces including resurfaced basketball floors and expanded weight rooms and locker rooms at the high school.

Vote yes to make our district even more of a destination district, improving property values for all our residents.
